Oregon Mozart Players will be performing a concert called “Da Capo” on May 17, 2025, in Beall Concert Hall. This concert will close OMP’s 2024/25 season and marks a defining moment in the ensemble’s history.
“Da Capo” will be the first concert with David Amado as Oregon Mozart Players’ Music Director Designate, following his selection through our season-long Artistic Director Festival. After an intensive and public search process that included three finalist concerts, David was selected to lead the organization into its next chapter—making “Da Cap”o a concert of new beginnings.
The program reflects the values OMP holds dear: mentorship, artistic excellence, and connection across generations. Two young soloists—Yuwei Zhang and Andrew Lee, winners of the 2025 OMP Young Soloist Competition—will perform works by Sarasate and Sibelius. In addition, we will partner with the Eugene-Springfield Youth Orchestras to perform Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, a collaboration that highlights our commitment to youth engagement and community partnerships. The concert concludes with Mozart’s Jupiter Symphony—an enduring symbol of brilliance and joy.
