Kudos to former fellows

Lynn Stephen, professor of Anthropology and 2022–23 OHC Faculty Research Fellow, has been named an external fellow at the Stanford Humanities Center. Selected from more than 325 applicants, Stephen will complete a book  on transborder Mesoamerican Indigenous territories. 

Laura Pulido, professor of Indigenous, Race, and Ethnic Studies and Geography, and 2022–23 OHC Faculty Research Fellow, has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious honorary societies.

Julie Weise, associate professor of History and 2023–24 OHC Faculty Research Fellow, was awarded a UO Foundation Trustee Excellence Fund grant to support the completion of her book, Guest Worker: Lives across Borders in an Age of Prosperity, 1919–75.
