7:30 p.m. About 15,000 years ago, the huge glaciers of the Late Pleistocene began to melt, causing the oceans to rise. In the Americas, the greatest of all unoccupied wildernesses humans would explore, people adapted to unfamiliar habitats and dangerous creatures in the midst of a wildly fluctuating climate. Along the trail of this epic tale that Doug Peacock calls the “Greatest Adventure” lie lessons of courage and caution for modern people. |
